1. Description of Service

mozey is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that helps freelancers and small business owners manage their finances, invoicing, contracts, and tax preparation.

The Service includes:

• Scanning receipts and documents using OCR technology,
• Extracting basic data such as date, amount, vendor, tax, and currency,
• Categorizing expenses,
• Creating and managing invoices with automated formatting,
• Generating AI-powered contract templates,
• Creating and tracking quotes,
• Managing client contracts with digital signature support,
• Providing dashboards and export options (CSV, Excel, PDF, and integrations with accounting tools).

mozey is a data management, invoicing, contract management, and bookkeeping assistance tool only.

2. NOT Tax or Legal Advice

mozey does NOT provide:

• Tax advice or recommendations,
• Legal advice or counsel,
• Accounting services,
• Tax preparation or filing services,
• Financial planning or investment advice,
• Contract review or legal validation of contracts.

Any information provided within the Service (including tips, examples, educational content, or AI-generated templates) is for general informational purposes only and should not be considered tax, legal, or financial advice.

You are solely responsible for your own tax filings, compliance, financial decisions, and contract negotiations.

You should always consult a qualified and licensed tax professional, accountant, attorney, or financial advisor for advice specific to your situation.

3. AI Accuracy Disclaimer

• AI receipt scan results (including amounts, dates, vendor names, and categories) are provided as suggestions and may contain errors.
• AI-generated contract templates are based on your inputs and may require modification and legal review before use.
• Users are responsible for reviewing and correcting all AI-generated categorizations and templates before using them for tax, legal, or financial purposes.
• mozey is not liable for any tax filing errors, penalties, financial losses, or legal issues caused by inaccuracies in AI-generated data or templates.

4. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• The accuracy and completeness of any data or documents you upload,
• Reviewing all data, invoices, contracts, and quotes before using them,
• Verifying AI-generated categorizations, contract templates, and extracted data,
• Ensuring you have the legal right to use client information in invoices, contracts, and quotes,
• Complying with all applicable tax laws, contract laws, and regulations in your jurisdiction.

mozey is not responsible for any penalties, losses, or damages arising from your use of the Service or from inaccurate or incomplete data.

5. Account and Access

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials.

6. Invoices, Contracts & Quotes

6.1 Invoice Creation and Sharing

• You can create invoices with line items, descriptions, rates, and client information.
• You can share invoices with clients via email or secure token-based links.
• When you share an invoice, the recipient receives a view of the invoice data you specified, with no access to other accounts or invoices.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of invoice details, client information, and payment terms.
• mozey does not process payments directly — we display your chosen payment methods (Stripe, PayPal, Zelle, Venmo, Wire, CashApp, Wise, Bank, Check) on invoices so clients know how to pay you.
• You can mark invoices as paid and record the payment method and date for cash flow tracking.

6.2 Contract Management

• You can upload, create, and manage contracts within mozey.
• AI-generated contract templates are suggestions only and must be reviewed and potentially modified by you or an attorney before use.
• Digital signatures collected via mozey are legally binding when both parties have signed electronically.
• Digital signature data, including signer names, emails, IP addresses, and timestamps, are stored securely for verification and audit purposes.
• You are responsible for ensuring contracts comply with applicable laws and that all parties have consented to the terms.
• Signed contracts are stored in your account with timestamped proof of signature.

6.3 Quote Creation and Tracking

• You can create and share quotes with clients with line items, pricing, and expiration dates.
• You are responsible for quote accuracy and pricing information.
• Quote status tracking helps you monitor client responses (sent, viewed, approved, rejected, expired).
• You can convert approved quotes to invoices with a single click to maintain consistency between quote and invoice details.

6.4 Document Sharing and Security

• All shared invoices, contracts, and quotes use unique, time-limited security tokens to prevent unauthorized access.
• Clients access documents through secure, token-protected pages that display only the intended document.
• Access to shared documents is logged and can be tracked in your account.
• You can revoke access to shared documents at any time.

7. Subscription and Billing

7.1 Plans and Billing

• Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) until cancelled.
• All billing is processed through Lemon Squeezy.
• Annual subscriptions are billed upfront for a 12-month period.
• A renewal reminder email is sent 3 days before each charge.

7.2 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard settings.

• No further charges will be made after cancellation.
• Access to Pro features continues until the end of your current billing period.
• Your data remains accessible after cancellation.
• You may resubscribe at any time.

7.3 Billing Cycle Changes

If you change from Annual to Monthly:

• The change takes effect at the end of your current Annual period
• No refund or credit is provided for the remaining time
• You continue to enjoy Annual benefits until your period ends
• Monthly billing starts automatically after your Annual period expires

8. Data Portability

• You may export all of your data at any time from your account dashboard.
• Export formats available: CSV and PDF.
• After account cancellation, a 30-day data export window is provided before data deletion.
• We encourage you to export your data before requesting account deletion.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time.

Upon Cancellation:

• Access to Pro features continues until the end of your current billing period.
• Data export is available during and after your subscription period.

Upon Account Deletion:

• All account data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of your deletion request.
• Please export your data before requesting account deletion.
• Deleted data cannot be recovered.

Termination by mozey:

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. In such cases, you will be notified and given an opportunity to export your data before deletion.

10. Limitation of Liability

• mozey is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, mozey is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
